Smart Streetlights Tvilight

The smart Streetlights has been developed in Washington by an Indian origin designer which will produce lights only in the presence of people. It really sounds good because it will only consume energy only when it requires and not the ones that burns all night without any need. It will save energy costs by 80 percent.  This 'on-demand; streetlights only glow in the presence of a people, bicycle or car and remain dim the rest of the time.

The designer Chintan Shah who is a student of Delft University of Technology in Netherlands. He offered a solution to develop an intelligent, lighting system using wireless sensors to conserve energy. Shah believes that th system will reduce energy costs and CO2 emission by 80 percent and maintenance by 50 percent due to the integrated wireless sensors that makes lamps to alert a central control center.

The technology to distinguish between people and animals has also been developed in this system so to avoid useless alerts. The name of this streetlight is 'Tvilight'. This street lights are already been implemented in the countries of Holland and Ireland.

Soon this technology will available to other countries including India, Japan, Turkey, Australia and many more. So it'a a new invention which will save energy plus energy costs but it will not effect any means of comfortable for the people in walking through the streets on night time.
