Change Font-Size :
Last year, Flipkart launched ebooks with an Android app and now this ebooks app has been extended to take its role on iOS, Windows Phone and to the Web. Flipkart has also tie-up with Nokia to allow the pre-installing ebooks app for the upcoming Lumia phones in the future.
The Flipkart's Android App has been very popular and is available at free of cost at certain online app stores. The App includes several attractive features including the use of - 'FlipStream Technology' which speeds up the reading experience. allowing the user to access any part of the ebook instantly. There is also an option to control the reading experience by selecting preferred reading mode which the includes day/night/sepia mode, font-size, orientation and much more.
The readers have the choice to highlight the text, take important notes, bookmark the pages or even search for dictionary while reading without closing the app. The Android, Windows Phone and web apps will allow users to purchase books from within the app but unfortunately the iOS app doesn't include this feature.
There will also a FlipSync Technology that automatically syncs the last read location. Apart from this, there is also a feature called 'FlipThru' which allows the users to read 10 percent of the ebook before buying it. So Flipkart has made its intentions clear that it will compete with Google and Amazon in the world of ebooks and so far the success is going in a right way.
